Execution canvas

An execution canvas is a spatial, live-updating surface that renders an organization's work — strategy, teams, sprints, tasks, capacity, dependencies — as a connected visual landscape rather than lists and tables.

The canvas model matters because execution is a network, and tables flatten networks: a dashboard can show that a metric moved, while a canvas can show what the movement touches. Modern execution canvases are live (synced from source tools), interactive (planning happens on the canvas and writes back), and layered (zoom from organization to initiative to individual task).
