Create a New Organization or Board

Both start blank with no name prompt — a new organization gets an auto-generated name, while a new board drops you straight into its settings to name it.

Open in Everview

Creating a new organization or a new board both skip an upfront naming step — you get a blank one immediately, then rename it afterward.

Create a new organization

Click New Organization in the organization switcher. This creates the organization immediately with an auto-generated name — your name's Organization, or a numbered variant if you already have one — and switches you into it. There's no name field to fill in first; rename it afterward from Manage Your Organization's Profile.

Create a new board

Click New workspace in the workspace switcher, or + New Board from the Boards list in the Organization Menu — both do the same thing. Unlike organization creation, this drops you straight into Board Settings afterward so you can name and configure it right away; there's no separate creation form.

See Configure a Board's Display and Cadence for what to set once you're there.

What to do about it

The button label itself is inconsistent across these three entry points — "New Organization" is Title Case, "New workspace" is sentence case, and the admin list uses "+ New Board" — but all three lead to the same outcome for their respective entity. If you're trying to move between organizations or boards you already have rather than create a new one, see Switch Between Organizations and Workspaces instead.
