What it is
The Say-Do Ratio measures commitment reliability: the ratio of completed story points to committed story points in an iteration, shown as a percentage. Everview calculates it as (completed points ÷ points planned at commitment) × 100.
How to read it
A ratio near 100% means the team delivered close to what it committed to at the start of the sprint. A ratio well below 100% means the team committed to more than it delivered — worth checking alongside scope creep (points added) and descoping (points removed) for that sprint, since both change the committed baseline mid-sprint. A ratio above 100% means the team delivered more than it committed to.
What to do about it
Track the Say-Do Ratio over several sprints rather than reacting to one. A team with a consistently low ratio is either over-committing at planning time or running into recurring disruptions — compare against Velocity and Capacity and Availability to see whether the commitment itself was realistic. A team with a very high ratio may be under-committing.
