Navigate the Execution Canvas

Zoom, pan, and scroll around the execution canvas with your mouse, trackpad, or touch gestures.

Zoom, pan, and scroll around the execution canvas with your mouse, trackpad, or touch gestures.

Zoom

  • Mouse wheel zooms in and out around your cursor.
  • Hold Ctrl (or Cmd) while scrolling for finer, slower zoom control.
  • On a touch device, pinch with two fingers to zoom.

You can zoom out far enough to see your whole roadmap at once, or in to roughly 4x magnification for reading fine detail on a card.

Pan

  • Right-click and drag with a mouse to pan.
  • Two-finger drag on a touch device pans the canvas.
  • A plain trackpad scroll (no modifier) also pans, in whichever direction you scroll.

Scrollbar overlay

A scrollbar appears along both the bottom and right edges of the canvas while you scroll or hover near them. Drag a scrollbar's thumb, or click directly in its lane, to jump to that position. It fades out when you're not using it.

Smooth transitions

Whenever the canvas moves you to a new position — for example, after opening a card from a search result — the camera glides there with a brief eased animation rather than jumping instantly.

Touch and desktop parity

Touch and desktop use different underlying gestures but are built to feel equivalent: a double-tap on touch does the same thing as a double-click with a mouse (opening a dial, editing a title, and so on) throughout the canvas.
